Finance and Operations Manager
Fernando Aquino has over thirteen years of experience working in finance, administration, operations, and procurement for nonprofits and international development organizations. His work with JSI started in 2009, as the Finance and Administration Manager (FAM) for the USAID | DELIVER PROJECT and UMBRAL/MCC projects based in the Paraguay Field Office, for three years. After the field office closed down in 2012, Mr. Aquino was relocated to the Washington, D.C. area to work as a FAM for the USAID | DELIVER PROJECT and SCMS, backstopping South Africa and Latin American countries with annual budgets of up to USD $10 million. He also served as a Procurement Specialist managing one-off procurements and framework contracts for SCMS, the USAID | DELIVER PROJECT, and the US Department of Defense. In 2016, he joined the inSupply project as the Finance and Operations Manager. Mr. Aquino has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the Catholic University of Asuncion, Paraguay, and is currently finalizing his MBA at the Escuela de Administracion de Negocios (EDAN). He is fluent in Spanish and has a working knowledge of Portuguese.
