Program Manager, Implant Access Program
Dr. Akhlaghi is an APICS certified supply chain professional with 15 years of experience in public health supply chains and project management. Her areas of expertise include data analysis, forecasting, and supply planning. Working with such organizations as USAID, UNFPA, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, she is known for her ability to synthesize information and clearly communicate complex subject matter to facilitate decisionmaking. She joined JSI six years ago and served as a technical advisor before becoming the program manager for the Implant Access Program and the Sayana Press Introduction activities. Prior to her work at JSI, she was with Management Sciences for Health, where she oversaw the development of Quantimed, and prior to that at the Department of Health and Human Services. She also spent some time as a pharmacist. She began her career as the Executive Resident at the American Association of Consultant Pharmacists. She has worked in nearly 20 countries across Africa and Asia to provide forecasting and supply planning technical assistance. Dr. Akhlaghi received her Doctor of Pharmacy and Masters in Public Administration from the University of Kentucky and is currently studying for her MicroMasters in Supply Chain Management from MIT. She is a native Farsi speaker.
